Stag and Hen Do Games With Photos (No Props Needed)
Stag and hen do games usually mean packing props, printing quiz sheets and remembering to bring them to the restaurant. Photo games skip all of that. Everyone already has a phone, and the stag or bride to be has a past. Here are games that only need both.
1. Guess the year
Collect photos of the stag or hen from every era of their life. Show them one at a time and have everyone guess the year. Closest guess wins a point; the guest of honour drinks if nobody gets within three years.
Tip: Add the year as the caption, so guests browsing later can check their answers.
2. Who leaked it?
Ask each guest to send one embarrassing photo in advance. Reveal them one by one, and the stag or hen has to guess who sent each photo. Every wrong guess is a forfeit.
3. The Hall of Shame vote
Put all the photos on a shared site and let the group react to their favourites. At the end of the night, the most-reacted photo wins, and the guest of honour has to recreate it for a new photo. PhotoLeak’s Hall of Shame ranks the photos live, so there’s no counting to do.
4. Caption contest
Pick five of the worst photos. Everyone writes a caption for each on their phone. The guest of honour picks a winner for each one, and the best captions become the official ones on the site.
5. Then and now
Pair an old photo with a new one, taken during the weekend: the same pose, the same place or the same terrible outfit. Add the new photos to a “This Weekend” album as you go.
6. Two truths and a photo
Show a photo and tell three stories about it. Two are true; one is invented. The group guesses which is the lie. The stag or hen gets to confirm, or refuse to comment.
Making it work on the day
- Collect photos weeks ahead. Family and old friends are the best sources, and they need time to dig.
- Use one shared place for the photos. A group chat buries them in seconds. A private site with albums keeps them in order.
- Keep the code until the right moment. The first dinner, when everyone’s together and nobody’s lost their phone yet, is the classic reveal.
- Keep some for the wedding. The best stag and hen photos make excellent speech material, so don’t burn them all on the weekend.
With PhotoLeak, you can set this up in an evening: upload the photos into albums, print the QR cards, and reveal the code at dinner. Every guest browses and reacts on their own phone, with nothing to pack.
